Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman looks enormous next to VW Golf IV
The stately Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman has been spotted on the roads of Germany looking absolutely massive compared to regular cars.
It’s the same car caught on camera towards the end of last year and most likely Mercedes is making final adjustments before kicking off deliveries in the months to come to high-end customers. Even though the model was revealed almost a year ago, we still don’t have exact pricing details for Daimler’s flagship model. However, the top-spec armored version is expected to cost around $1 million.
Compared to a Mercedes-Maybach S Class, the Pullman version is 41.4 inches (1053 mm) longer to enable a massive wheelbase of 174 inches (4418 mm). You can easily observe the car’s large footprint while the prototype sits near a humble fourth-generation VW Golf at a stop light.
It has received the best Daimler has to offer in terms of interiors, including a rear-seat entertainment system featuring an 18.5-inch screen. It benefits from two executive seats reclining up to 43.5 degrees and equipped with a powered footrest. These face two fold-down seats and a partition window which is electronically-controlled and can go from opaque to transparent by a simple button touch.
Under the hood it has the mighty biturbo 6.0-liter V12 engine generating 523 horsepower (390 kW) and 612 pound-feet (830 Nm) of torque. Details about performances are not available, but these don’t really matter on what Daimler describes as being the “ultimate in exclusivity and luxury.”
