The Citroën DS 6WR was photographed on public roads for the first time, following its introduction last month at the Beijing Motor Show.
The first ever crossover to wear a DS badge looked very promising in the official images released by the French marque in April but real life shots show a blander design which to some might not be worthy of the DS name. Through these shots we also get to see the interior cabin for the first time with lots of leather, metallic accents and a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
It rides on the same platform as the DS5 and DS 5LS and will be produced exclusively in and for China by the Changan-PSA joint venture. This is a two-wheel drive crossover but Citroën is offering its Grip Control system that promises to provide "optimized traction" on all types of roads.
It will go on sale later this year at an estimated starting price of 160,000 yuan (25,600 USD / 18,740 EUR / 15,200 GBP). |
