Set to be driven up the hill by Jenson Button, the model features an improved 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 625 PS (460 KW / 616 hp) - an increase of 25 PS (18 kW / 25 hp). It is connected to a recalibrated seven-speed SSG transmission which promises to deliver better responsiveness. Besides the increased output, the MP4-12C benefits from restyled wheels, revised upholstery and a new Volcano Yellow paint finish.
McLaren will also introduce a unique MP4-12C GT3 which supports the government's "GREAT" campaign that is designed to "re-affirm Britain's international reputation and deliver long-term economic benefits through additional tourism, trade and education."
