the Polo GTI employs the same 1.4-litre twincharged unit used in the Golf and Scirocco, except with a higher state of tune – 180PS at 6,200rpm and 250Nm at 2,000 – 4,500rpm. These figures best the TSI models by 20PS and 10Nm, and 30PS from its (Mk4 Polo) predecessor.
