The golden boy of American rally versus a former Formula One world champion on a equal stage albeit different cars, sounds dramatic but this is exactly what took place at the opening ceremonies of the Rally Portugal. Organizers decided to pass on the standard opening ceremonies for a Super Special stage held in a local arena. Drivers were paired against each other based on their corresponding rivalries, and that’s how Ken and Kimi’s rookie battle royale took place.
And to add to the drama, Ken bets Kimi 100 euros that he will be faster than him. From the get go, the duo were neck to neck and by the end of it, you got to watch to find out.
