MTM R8 GT3-2: Street-Legal Supercharged Audi R8 with RWD and 560 PS

MTM has unveiled the insane, street-legal Audi R8 GT3-2.

Like the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni, the GT3-2 ditches all-wheel drive for rear-wheel drive. Elsewhere, the company installed a differential lock, an adjustable sports suspension, an improved braking system, aerodynamic carbon fiber body parts (front spoiler, side skirts and rear wing), and 20-inch forged wheels with Dunlop Sport Maxx GT (or Michelin Cup Sport) tires.

Power comes from a supercharged 4.2-liter FSI engine, which produces 560 PS (412 kW / 552 hp) and 580 Nm (428 lb-ft) of torque. It enables the GT3-2 to accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.9 seconds, before topping out at 317 km/h (197 mph).

No word on pricing or availability, but MTM says "people who already own a R8 have the possibility to convert it into a R8 GT3-2."

极致性能 - MTM打造的后驱Audi R8 - GT3-2

德国的改装名厂MTM这次又出新招了。他们将4.2升V8引擎的Audi（奥迪）R8传动方式改成纯后驱型式，而动力方面也做了提升，在装了一个机械增压器的效果下，最大马力553hp（比V10多了28hp ）、最大扭力59.2kgm（比V10多了5.11kgm）。

MTM（Motoren Technik Mayer）公司这次将中置引擎的R8改成｢GT3-2｣的后驱型式，而其中车型名称后面的数字｢2｣，就代表着后轮驱动的意思（后面2轮）。在废掉Audi惯用的全时四轮传动｢quattro｣的武功后，变速箱方面MTM倒是没有提到是否是六速手排、或是六速R Tronic的自手排系统。

相对于原本4.2升V8基础的R8，它的动力提升幅度就相当大了，原本4.2升R8的引擎只有420hp、42.8kgm的输出功率。在排气系统部份也有改良，排气声浪也变得更加澎湃大声。

动力提升后它的0~96km/h（60mph）加速在3.9秒内即可完成，极速317km/h；比起之前的4.3秒成绩也快上不少。而前后轮的轮胎尺码也都加大到20吋，碟盘也加大到15吋，连悬吊也有改良。轮胎的部份可以选择搭配Dunlop（登路普）Sport Maxx GT或是Michelin（米其林）的Cup Sport。在外观的部份也增加了碳纤维的车身大包，而在套件的边缘部分都还饰以象征性能的红色线条。对于现有R8的车主来说，MTM也乐意为其做GT3-2的全套改装服务。
