Subaru has unveiled a new four-door sedan version of the 2011 Subaru WRX STI at the New York auto show.
For the first time the WRX STI will be available in both a 5-door hatch and 4-door sedan configuration. The 4-door variant features a "wide and low"-themed body styling.
The new WRX STI gets a new design which includes sharper bumper corners, new fog lamps and a new and larger front grill with bumper air intakes. The 4-door sedan variant also gets wider rear fenders for a more distinguishing look.
But the real story here is the updated suspension tuning. The 2011 WRX STI gets higher-rate springs all around and thicker stabilizer bars at the front and back. Those spring rates are increased by 15.6 percent at the front and 53 percent for the rear.
Subaru is also offering a new interior trim for the WRX STI - a black and silver finish with trim highlights done in a dark cast metallic.
