RevoZport改装BMW 1M(450马力V8) Willowsprings赛道1:31.3
What you’re about to see is one of their cars run by the Matt Powers Performance Technic crew on the Willowsprings International Raceway, a perfect track for such a car. The time they got on it? 1:31.3 which puts the 1M on the 43rd place in an all-time fastest lap ranking. The thing is, all the other cars in this list are proper racers that achieved their lap times in various competitions.
Furthermore, the names on that list include people like Nigel Mansell and Michael Andretti, the latter even holding the record at the moment, attained with an IndyCar in March 1987.
Getting back to the matter at hand here, the Revozport Raze BMW 1M Coupe is no longer the 340 HP M car we all knew. The 3-liter inline 6-cylinder twin-turbocharged plant was taken out and replaced with an S65 4-liter V8 that was then tuned to 450 HP. The car is now featuring intake cone filters, ECU tuning with standback, BOV charge pipe, downpipes and a plug-and-play harness.
To cope with the extra fumes, a titanium exhaust was also installed and you can hear the difference it makes. It’s also 7 kg lighter than the stock version offering a throaty sound while providing a free flow system without compromising back pressure for low end torque.
Everything comes together in what Revozport calls the ‘Raze’. It sure is a fast car but as you can see in the video it’s also really hard to control. Even so, props go out to Matt Powers that not only managed to keep things in check but also posted a really good lap time. Check out his run! |
