Citroën has announced plans to introduce the Lacoste concept at the Paris Motor Show.
Described as "pure, simple and laid-back" the Lacoste features minimalistic styling and an open-air design. While you're probably thinking it's a glorified golf cart, you're not entirely wrong. The company embraces the theme with white "golf ball-style" wheels and a fold down windscreen. However, despite the low-key appearance, the car has a pretty neat trick: an inflatable soft-top that deploys from the roof beam.
Inside, the cabin has a pixilated instrument cluster (inspired by early video games), a two-spoke steering wheel, numerous storage compartments, and folding rear seats. Speaking of the latter, they're upholstered in white cotton like Lacoste's polo shirts.
While the company declined to release detailed specifications, power is provided by a three-cylinder petrol engine with "plenty of performance on tap." |
