Peterhansel cleared of illegal refueling

Stephane Peterhansel will keep second place in the Dakar Rally after organisers have cleared the Peugeot driver of any wrongdoing.
The 11-time Dakar winner wasunder investigation after rival X-raid squad claimed Peterhansel had refueled in an unauthorised area during Monday's eighth stage of the event.
If found guilty, the Peugeot driver could have been excluded from the Dakar.
However, Dakar organisers ASO deemed that Peterhansel's refueling was in accordance with the rules.
The Frenchman lost the lead of the event to Peugeot teammate Carlos Sainz inTuesday's stage and now trails the Spaniard by seven minutes with four stages left to run.
